Industrial Fans

When an industrial fan fails, the question isn’t always whether to repair or replace, it’s who can actually do the work on your equipment, today, without waiting weeks for an OEM response.

Indrotech repairs and reconditions industrial fans from any manufacturer, in any condition, from our Hallam workshop. If the fan is beyond economical repair, we fabricate a complete replacement from new, reverse-engineered to the original specification or improved for your application. Every fan leaves dynamically balanced to G2.5 and certified.

What we do

Fan repair and reconditioning

Damaged impellers, worn housings, failed shafts, corroded blades, bearing failures. We assess the fan, advise on the repair scope, and carry out the work. We work on any manufacturer’s equipment. If you don’t know what you’ve got, bring it in.

Complete fan fabrication from new

Where repair is not viable, we fabricate a direct replacement. We reverse-engineer from the original or design from your system requirements. Manufactured in our Hallam workshop by qualified boilermakers, using materials specified for your application mild steel, stainless, high-nickel alloys for high-temperature work.

Dynamic balancing to G2.5

Industries and applications

We repair and fabricate fans across a wide range of industrial applications. Our highest concentration of repeat work comes from high-temperature environments, furnaces, ovens, heat treatment, galvanising. Where fan operating conditions are severe and downtime is expensive. We also work regularly across food processing, chemical processing, dust and fume extraction, equipment cooling, water treatment, and general industrial manufacturing.

Why customers send their fans to Indrotech

We work on any manufacturer’s equipment

We are not tied to a product range or OEM supplier. If your fan was made by someone else and they can’t help we can assess and advise.

Fabrication from new, when repair doesn’t make sense

Some fans are beyond economic repair. We tell you plainly when that’s the case, then build a replacement. No waiting on OEM lead times. Manufactured in Hallam.

Dynamically balanced in-house, every job

Our balancing workshop is part of the same operation, not a subcontractor. G2.5 as standard. Certificate of Balance on every fan that leaves.

We have seen it before

Unusual configurations, age-unknown assemblies, heat damage, corrosion, and one-off designs are part of what we do. Bring the fan in.

Common questions

Q: Do you only repair fans you’ve manufactured?
No. We repair and recondition fans from any manufacturer. We don’t need original drawings. We assess the fan as it arrives.

Q: How long does a typical fan repair take?
It depends on the scope and material requirements. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe when we’ve assessed the fan. Urgent jobs are assessed on their merits call us if downtime is critical.

Q: Can you match the original fan exactly?
In most cases, yes. Where original specifications are unknown, we reverse-engineer from the physical fan. Where the original design had shortcomings, we can advise on improvements.

Q: What balance standard do you work to?
G2.5 as standard tighter than the G6.3 industry default. G1.0 and G0.4 are available for high-speed or precision-critical applications. A Certificate of Balance is supplied with every job.

Q: Do you fabricate complete fan assemblies, or just impellers?
Both. We can supply a complete assembly impeller, shaft, housing, bearings, and drive arrangement or impeller only if the housing is serviceable. We’ll advise based on what’s in front of us.

Q: What materials do you use?
Mild steel for standard applications. Stainless steel grades for corrosive or food-grade environments. High-nickel alloys for high-temperature applications. We’ll specify the appropriate material for your operating conditions.
